The purpose of the Mechanical Contractors Association of New York, Inc. is to promote in all lawful ways the welfare of its members, the development of the fire suppression industry and the heating, piping and air conditioning industry, the improvement and standardization of materials, methods and workmanship incidental thereto and the development and improvement of methods and techniques of furnishing and installing piping systems, or parts thereof, for steam, water, air, brine, ammonia, oil or other products or products in course of manufacture of all types and systems of heating, cooling, ventilating, refrigeration, air conditioning, power piping and appliances, industrial and process piping, sprinkler piping, temperature control piping, high and low pressure boilers, stokers, oil burning equipment, gas burning equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic power piping and sheet metal work; the improvement in character of work done and labor employed thereby advancing the work of the industry in its numerous branches.
